Apple Cider Donuts That Are Worth the Trip

Apple cider donuts are what Tanners Orchard is known for. You can smell them when you come in the door, and once you do, it’s hard to leave without at least one.

They’re great with coffee in the morning, fun to share during your visit, and easy to take home for later. Guests can pick up a dozen or half dozen, and if you somehow manage not to eat them all right away, they freeze well and taste great warmed slightly.

That’s part of what makes them such a favorite. They aren’t just a quick snack at the farm. They’re something families bring home, serve later, and look forward to again the next time they visit.

Caramel Apples with a Story Behind Every Bite

The caramel apples at Tanners Orchard have a story of their own. They’re made with an old German caramel recipe given to us in 1975, and the process still takes time, patience, and plenty of care.

We cook the caramel for 45 minutes to create its velvety texture. Then, each apple is hand dipped into warm caramel and rolled in crushed nuts. Plain caramel apples are available too, for guests who like their caramel apples simple and classic.

These are a true Tanners favorite. Last year, we made almost 51,000 caramel apples, which tells you just how many people make them part of their visit.

Pies, Fudge & Other Homemade Bakery Treats

Apple cider donuts and caramel apples may get a lot of attention, but they’re only part of what you’ll find at the Apple Bin Bakery. From pies and fudge to breads, pastries, and other baked goods, there are plenty of reasons to look around before you decide what to take home.

Fudge from the Fudge Kitchen

Next door to the bakery is the Fudge Kitchen, where we make our own homemade fudge right on the farm. With many varieties available, it’s one of those treats people like to sample, share, and bring home for later.

Fresh Baked, Frozen & Homemade Pies

Tanners Orchard offers a wide variety of home baked and frozen pies, perfect for family gatherings, holidays, or any fall meal that needs something sweet at the end.

Daily varieties include apple, dutch apple, and caramel apple nut. Seasonal pies are also available at different times throughout the fall. For smaller gatherings, our 6-inch pies are available in most varieties and serve about two people.

Fritters, Turnovers, Breads & More

The bakery doesn’t stop with donuts, caramel apples, fudge, and pies. Guests can also find home baked apple fritters, muffins, cookies, strudels, apple turnovers, breads, cinnamon rolls, and more.

It’s the kind of selection that makes it easy to find something for now and something for later.
