Join us at the Sunflower Field

When a sunflower field blooms, it’s a sight to be celebrated. And at Tanners Orchard, we do just that! Every year we invite the public to visit our sunflower field and appreciate all there is to love about sunflowers. The Sunflower Field takes place over the last two weeks in August and is filled with food, photo opportunities and fun for the entire family! Come see us in full bloom at the Sunflower Field starting at 10 AM – 4 PM Monday – Saturday.

Sunflower Event

Butterfly and Ladybud Release starts at 8 AM next to the sunflower field. This time gives individuals the rare chance to release butterflies and native ladybugs back into nature while watching the sun shine off the sunflowers as it works it’s way across the sky. Seating for this portion of the event is limited, so make sure you sign up ASAP. Doing so will also ensure early entry into the fields and your ticket to the event includes breakfast. This event is held on the third Saturday in August.

Photo Opportunities

During the event, you will have the chance to view our sunflowers up close. As you walk through the fields, you will find plenty of photo opportunities along the way. We encourage you to think of creative ways to capture the experience and then tag us in any pictures you publish online.

Fun for the Family

Aside from plenty of photo ops, The Sunflower Field also features several fun activities. Each individual who attends our event will get to choose one sunflower from our field. This complimentary gift makes a great addition to any kitchen or dining room.

After you’ve selected and picked the perfect flower, you can make your way to the Back 40 Fun Acres. Some other attractions you’ll want to visit include our Farm Market, petting farm, and orchard!
