All About the Sunflower Experience

The Sunflower Experience offers an entire day of immersion in our field of sunflowers. During the day, visitors will be able to explore the field. You can enjoy a morning breakfast, which offers you and your family the opportunity to dine in the field while enjoying the delicious foods from Tanners Orchard. After your meal, you will get early access to the field for photos. And you’ll find that one perfect sunflower to take home with you.

After your time in the field, you can have some fun in the Back 40 Fun Acres where there are all kinds of things to play with for adults and kids alike.  We even bring out the barrel train and pony rides for the Sunflower Experience. It’s a sunflower festival for Springfield IL families that we promise you’ll never forget.

The Evening of the Sunflower Experience

We decided we wanted a nice nighttime close to our day in the sun and sunflower fields. From 6 to 9 p.m., we offer the Sunflower S’mores and More, which is an adult-only event. Grill your own hotdog on the public grill or get a private one just for you and your group. This event ends with a trip to the Back 40 Fun Acres, where the grown-ups finally get to be the ones to play without the kids getting in our way.
