Since 1947, the Tanner family has tended the land where Tanners Orchard now stands. What began as an apple orchard today boasts 11,000 trees and 17 varieties of apples. But we’re also home to everyone’s favorite fall activity: a 20-acre pumpkin patch. But our pumpkin patch for Aurora IL residents is just a part of the fun that’s offered at Tanners Orchard. During the season you can walk our pumpkin patch and pick your favorites. During our Festival Days we will even have tractor rides to get you and your haul to-and-from. We’re Your Pumpkin Picking Destination
At Tanners Orchard, we’ve got to great lengths to ensure we’re a prime pumpkin picking destination. Our patch features 6 pumpkin varieties for you to choose from. But that’s not all you can pick with your family. Our orchard features more than 11,000 U-Pick apple trees and 17 varieties of apples to choose from. U-Pick is $5 per person, and you can take home apples for $12 for a half peck or $20 for a peck. Another fall favorite is our annual corn maze, which has a new, elaborate design each year.
We know you’ll want to take home some of our tasty treats, too. We bake our goods fresh, using the apples you can find in our orchard. From pies to jams, pastries, and donuts we’re sure to have something for everyone. We even have a fudge kitchen next door to the bakery. And if you need a whole lunch that includes soups, salads, wraps, and sandwiches to balance your meal we’ve got that too. We’re not just a pumpkin patch for Aurora IL residents. We’re so much more than that, too.

When you’ve found your perfect picks, you and the little ones can enjoy everything our Back 40 Fun Acres offers. Fun activities like grain bin basketball, putt putt golf, the Shorty school bus, and the pedal tractor corral means kids can keep it moving while parents relax and enjoy the view. There are even special offerings during Festival Days like the jumping Jack pad, grain train, and occasional Unicorn sighting and pony rides.
