Apple Lovers Are in For a Treat
No trip to Tanners is complete without a walk through our orchard to pick the freshest, best-tasting apples around. In fact, you may have trouble picking just one favorite among the 17 different varieties of apples in our orchard. That’s okay. We made this handy apple chart to let you know when each type of apple is ripe and how to best enjoy eating each one. Our U-pick season starts the first Saturday in September each year. Pay us a visit on one of our Festival Days to take a wagon ride out to the orchard, one of our most popular family activities Moline IL.

Plenty of Activities for Both Kids and Adults Are Available

For kids, our Back 40 Fun Acres involves plenty of playground equipment, pedal carts, putt-putt golf, grain bin basketball, and games of cornhole. In addition, your family can interact with other farm friends like sheep, chickens, rabbits, and llamas. Meanwhile, couples can plan a date night at our adults-only Sunflower S’mores and More events. Running from 6 PM to 9 PM, the night begins with a hot dog roast out by our fields. You can either cook your dinner at our public firepit or rent a private one to enjoy with family and friends. During this time, we will have a smores bar with plenty of fun fillings for you to choose from and an available cash bar. Plus, you can let your inner child out by wrapping up the night at our Back 40 Fun acres.
Remember to Bring Grandma and Grandpa
With our grandparents’ weekend, several generations can share the fun family activities in Moline IL. Each year on the first weekend after Labor Day, we invite you to bring Grandma and Grandpa out to the farm! This two-day event is a fun time to explore the orchard as a family. You can pick apples, visit the petting zoo, or enjoy some refreshments from our Farm Market or Bakery. We will also have a giant rocking chair out for family photos.
