We know it’s Tanners Orchard’s offseason, but we can’t stop thinking about fun on the farm! Even when we’re away, Tanners Orchard lives on in our hearts. There’s just so much to do during a visit to Tanners. Best of all, it doesn’t matter who you go with or who you bring; Tanners Orchard has something fun for all ages to enjoy! From the Back 40 Fun Acres for the kiddos to the farm market for the adults, you’re sure to make something of your day at Tanners Orchard. We just wish we could get this next season started!
Our Back 40 Fun Acres are the perfect place to start the day for families with kids. There’s just so much for young ones to do at our outdoor play place. We have many uniquely built and themed play sets for your kids to run, jump, climb and slide down. There are even more special activities your kids can enjoy, like putt-putt golf or our Apple Dega Pedal Carts (Get it? Like “Talladega?” We tried!).
But the fun and enjoyment for your kids don’t stop there. Why not take your little ones to see Mythical Unicorns on Festival Days or do incredible jumps and flips on our inflatable Jumping Jack Pad? We even have an area of the farm where your kids can feed our goats, sheep, chicken, and other farm animals. All this is available to our youngest fans, plus our regular apple-picking and other farm activities!
Still looking for more your children can enjoy? We host many events every year that your kids will adore. Our annual peach and blueberry pancake breakfasts are a sweet treat for the whole family. Also, closer to Christmas time, we invite Santa to our farm so your kids can meet him and tell him what they want for Christmas. Each new season at Tanners Orchard has plenty to entertain your children.
Let’s face it; it can be hard to impress teens. They are at that age where everything can seem annoying or “uncool.” However, we’ve yet to see a teen leave Tanners Orchard without a smile on their face. That’s right, even your eldest can find something to do while at Tanners!
Why not start with a classic like apple picking? In truth, this is one of those activities that can be enjoyed at any age, but we do find that visiting teens tend to enjoy hanging out with their friends to wander our apple-picking section. You get to keep what you pick, and plenty of sweet treats can be plucked from one of our many trees.
Additionally, we have our yearly corn maze, haycart rides, and tons of sweet baked goods for your teens to enjoy. These activities are especially fun on a cool, crisp Friday evening in fall when it’s finally time for a break from boring school (just kidding!). We even find young adults like bringing their sweethearts out to Tanners Orchard to make for quite an impressive date night. You’ll get plenty of brownie points with your date when planning a trip to Tanners!
It’s okay, parents and grandparents; Tanners Orchard has plenty for you to enjoy, as well. In addition to apple-picking, hayrides, and corn mazes, adults can peruse our farm store to find the perfect gifts for loved ones. Around Christmas, a gift from Tanners is the perfect way to show gratitude and affection toward family and friends.
Or, if you’re feeling peckish, a trip to our Farm Market and Apple Bin Bakery is in order! Whether for lunch or dinner, you’re sure to find something delicious on our menu. Some of our offerings include Chicken Pot Pie Soup, Taco Salad, Turkey Paninis, Hot Roast Beef Sandwiches, and Seasonal Fruit Plates.
Once you’ve finished your meal, it’s time to check out the bakery for a sweet treat! Next to our apple-picking, our baked goods are our specialty. We bake an assortment of delicious pies of all varieties, not just apple. Also, we make farm-fresh apple cider and apple cider donuts with a taste that’s out of this world. Plus, there’s fudge, candy, specialty popcorn, caramel apples, and more. We hope you come hungry!
No matter where you are in your life, Tanners Orchard offers the perfect weekday or weekend getaway. There’s always something to do on the farm, and you, your kids or your parents will never have to feel bored. Only in a few months can Tanners fans begin enjoying farm-fresh food, sweet apples, and the perfect fall atmosphere. We can’t wait to see you here!
