Tanners Orchard is now open for the 77th season of family-friendly fun on the farm! Visitors can expect the very best Tanners Orchard has to offer, including activities like apple picking, wagon rides, and indulging in freshly baked goods. With months of different activities planned, fall-loving Midwesterners have lots to look forward to this year at Tanners!
Tanners Orchard was founded in 1947 on an 80-acre farm outside Speer, Illinois. Locals have come to know Tanners for our apple-growing prowess and delicious baked goods. Over the years, we have developed our farm to welcome visitors from all corners of the Midwest by offering delicious fresh apples, an onsite bakery, sunflower festival days, cornfield mazes, birthday parties, and much more.
“We have another exciting year in store at Tanners Orchard,” Jenny Tanner, co-owner of Tanners Orchard, had to say about the upcoming season. “We just love watching people’s faces light up when they visit our farm! It’s crazy to think we’re 77 seasons later and still seeing new people come to Tanners.”
Along with our traditional offerings, Tanners Orchard has several family-friendly and adult-only events planned for the season. Kids can tell Santa what they want for Christmas at our yearly Breakfast with Santa, while adults can enjoy a fun night out roasting marshmallows and visiting with friends during our S’mores & More event.
After experiencing one of Tanners Orchard’s many fun events, guests can visit the Apple Bin Bakery for a variety of savory meals and sweet treats. Indulge in apple cider donuts, caramel apples, homemade fudge, pies and more. During weekdays, the Apple Bin Bakery features daily lunch and dinner specials. Before visiting, see your meal options for the day on our website.
Tanners Orchard is also inviting you to bring your dogs out for a day on the farm again. For an admission fee of $10 per pet, and a portion of the proceeds going towards the ARK Humane Society in Lacon, IL, you can share the Tanners experience with your four-legged friends.
New to Tanners Orchard this year is the addition of more party packages! Whether celebrating a birthday for your kids, planning an after-school party, or putting together a corporate event, Tanners Orchard has the perfect party plan for you.
